Sergiu Cotruta graduated from Moldova State University (MSU) in 2010. He holds a Master Degree in Civil Law.

Sergiu Cotruta has been a member of  ”Tanase & Partenerii” since 2013, specialising in criminal law, particularly in defending clients accused of financial crimes or bribery. He developed an impressive practice of striking out contravention sanctions that were applied in an abusive manner by the national control authorities. Sergiu Cotruta offers legal advice to carriers in front of the customs authority. He is a licensed attorney and has been the member of the Moldovan Bar Association since 2013.
